Bodhisattvas deliver beings from their afflications. Sunlight nurtures goodness with its warmth. Moonlight dispels darkness of ignorance. Towers forest around it particular to Hong Kong. Where is the chanting coming from?
The future Buddha Maitraya is in Tusita heaven preaching to the gods. When the time is ripe, he will be born into this world and succeed to Sakyamuni Buddha’s work of salvation.
Women in grey robes and shaved heads bustling through the darkened wood. Even the pine trees harvest au-rues irrespective of eye lie.
Avalokitasvara Bodhisattva has already attained Buddha-hood but out of compassion for suffering beings she is reborn again and appears in many forms to teach and save beings with different needs and inclinations. The goddess with the wish fulfilling pearl and turning the wheel of teaching.
Will not ascend to heaven until no being suffers in hell. The guard who would not let us sit down and smiled to himself after. The gardeners. The city in our mind, ascending.
